The MDS Course Details
The Master of Dental Surgery program that we offer at HIDSAR is a 3-year long course which offers candidates specialization in various disciplines of dental surgery. The disciplines include Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Orthodontics, Endodontics, Periodontics and Prosthodontics to name a few. MDS Course – Eligibility of admission
Eligibility of admission to the Master of Dental Surgery program at HIDSAR for every aspiring candidate includes a Bachelor Dental Surgery (BDS) degree from a recognized institution. In addition to that a candidate must have completed the mandatory year-long internship program which is a part and parcel of any BDS course. Moreover the candidate must have obtained registration with the Dental Council of India. Admission to the Master’s program is completely based on the performance of a candidate in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test or NEET MDS.
Eligibility Criteria:
Any candidate seeking admission to the MDS course at HIDSAR must possess a BDS degree from any recognized dental college and must also be registered with any State Dental Council across the country.
Every admission to the PG courses (NEET qualified) is only done through the Government of West Bengal Medical Counseling Committee.
Duration of the MDS course
The MDS course duration at HIDSAR stretches across a span of three years. During this period students stay engaged in advanced coursework and extensive hands-on clinical practice.
