The primary goal of this department encompasses the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of sequelae of dental caries and the other defects of natural teeth; techniques and procedures to restore the teeth to full function and appearance in an aesthetically pleasing manner with as little loss of the healthy tooth structure as possible. The department specializes in the restoration of diseased teeth with the help of the latest restorative materials and Endodontics.
The department constantly updates itself with equipments and materials to render latest treatment effectively in a short time.
The department treats an average of 25,000 to 30,000 patients annually and has state-of-the-art technology, dedicated staff and infrastructure to render good services to patients.
The specialty being a confluence of basic sciences and clinical dentistry, it shoulders the responsibility of academic care from BDS & MDS course. The department also has a full fledged, pre-clinical laboratory equipped with the latest technology and phantom heads, where preclinical students can have a “feel” of treatment procedures before they are carried out in patients.
